---- — 1) Holidays are here

Christmas at the Seiberling kicks off Saturday night. The historic mansion will be lit with beautiful Christmas lights at 6 p.m. There will be music, an angel-guessing game for kids, carriage rides and a visit from Santa. It's a perfect way to get in the Christmas spirit. Opening night tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door. Kids 12 and under are $3, and Howard County Historical Society members get in free.

2) Light up the night

Take a stroll with your family through the Howard County Fairgrounds in Greentown Saturday night when the Lions Club officially lights up its Christmas display. The lights will be on each night from 6 to 10 p.m. through Christmas day. Visitors will be able drive through the display or park and walk down the Pioneer Village Main Street to see all the Christmas decorations. It's free to see the display, but donations will be accepted. This year the Round Barn will be open nightly for visitors. Visit Santa Claus on Fridays and Saturdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Bring your camera and get your picture taken with Santa in a more than 100-year-old sleigh.

3) Put your dancin' shoes on

The Fraternal Order of Eagles #255 will host a country act, Desperadoes Band, tonight and Saturday at the Lincoln Road lodge. The group plays from 8 to 11 p.m. both nights, and there is no cover charge. So put on your dancin' shoes for a night out on the town.
