Wes Moore is a Rhodes Scholar, dec­o­rated com­bat vet­eran, White House Fel­low and busi­ness leader who wrote a bestselling book about a man who shares his name and even grew up in the same neighborhood but ended up in prison for felony murder.

He will share his stories at the annual event.

2) Rock out for a cause

Revern Bootleg, Rogers Ritual and Rattleuce will perform a benefit concert at Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1221 E. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Free will donations will be accepted to assist Dana Scarberry, who is battling lung cancer. Money raised will help the family with medical expenses. In addition to the music, the night will include a silent auction, door prizes, raffles and activities for kids. Music will continue until 2 a.m.

3) For the bride-to-be

Find the perfect cake decorator, photo booth or venue for your upcoming wedding at the Greater Kokomo Bridal Gala. Check it out from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at Celebrations Banquet Facility. The cost is $5 at the door.
