Clinton best pick by ‘country mile’
Indiana is pivotal in the contest between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama for the Democratic nomination for president. We must make wise decisions as we enter the voting booths.
Consider that we have on the one hand a person with extensive national and international level experience, worldwide personal contacts and friends, and longtime exposure to the workings of Congress and the federal government. On the other hand, we have a person who has served seven years in the Illinois state legislature and significantly less than one term in national government office. Further, this person has had no management experience and virtually no responsibility or experience on the international level. Who sounds better to lead the most powerful nation on the planet, the first or the second?
Barack Obama has come on the scene like a rock star. He has great appeal, particularly to the younger crowd. The problem is he is mostly smoke and mirrors and a lot of noise, like most rock stars, but has very little substance. He has no track record to prove he has what it takes to be president – only words about what he will do, he says. This is not good enough.
Hillary Clinton is by a country mile the best and most experienced candidate the Democrats can put forth, and is the candidate most likely to beat John McCain in the general election. McCain would make mincemeat of Mr. Obama, not so with Hillary Clinton.
So, Indiana voters, I hope you will cast your vote May 6 for Hillary Clinton for the Democratic candidate for president of the United States, unless you want four more years under McCain like we have had the past eight under George W. Bush.

Come join us at Mayor’s Fair
The mayor’s committee on Mental Health Awareness and Wellness is sponsoring a fair called The Mayor’s Fair on Mental Health Awareness for the community. The fair will be held in Foster Park on May 17 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The community is invited to attend the free fun and food.
We will serve hot dogs, potato chips and Cokes for free. There will also be a classic rock group called Black Lyne that will play and also wandering classical guitarists for your entertainment. We will have a children’s jump cage for free use, a tug of war between the police and firemen, and also the Society for Creative Anarchism will be there to role play and dress different periods in our history.
Talk with them about their persona and what care was available for mental health in each era represented. It’s a wonderful learning experience. Also there will be different health groups on hand to answer any questions you may have. Join us for an afternoon of fun for all ages ... and the best part, it’s fun and free. Rain date of May 24 if needed.

Obama too young to have wisdom
Barack Obama has learning and knows facts, but he lacks the wisdom to be president. He is too young to have wisdom, which is the power of judging rightly and following the soundest course of action based on experience and understanding.
He is an arrogant young man who thinks he knows it all. He is a good orator and would make a fine actor, but he is not old enough and wise enough to run our country.
