Clements a good public servant
In reading your paper for June 17, I was appalled to hear what our Howard County GOP chairman had to say. He surely doesn’t know Jacque Clements.
She came into the Auditor’s Office in Clinton County when it was in dire straits and straightened it out. Now she is trying for the seat as a state representative. According to the audits he spoke of given by the State Board of Accounts, it has been certified that the records and accountability for cash and other assets are satisfactory.
I’m sure we could not find anyone any better to serve the public. She has worked many hours overtime to get things accomplished, but always has time for the people who come in the office for help.
She has a good group of women working for her, and I believe they would agree with me. I feel she is doing a great job, and will continue to do so in whichever position she obtains.

Please support annexation fight
We need the support of all our neighbors. The west side has obtained a lawyer by the name of John Price from Indianapolis, who represented the Geist annexation.
Citizens Against The Annexation Plan Inc. has been formed. Please donate what you can afford to help with the cost of the lawyer. Donations can be sent to CAAP, P.O. Box 6328, Kokomo, IN 46904-6328. “No Annexation” yard signs are available by calling Harrison Township trustee at 455-0345 or will be available at the meeting.
Contact your neighborhood coordinator to find out details of how you can help as a volunteer.
Please call your friends and neighbors to attend the next council meeting on Wednesday, July 16 at City Hall at 6 p.m.
