Waterworks Park needs water fountain

Waterworks Park is pretty nice and loads of fun!

We went there today; we played lots of fun games like tag, hide and seek, and we also played on the tire swing.

It was fun too, but the spider web was our favorite part and it also made the park stand out.

We got really, really hot and thirsty. So we went looking for a water fountain, and we could not find one.

That’s what this letter is about.

So if you would do all of us little girls and boys a favor, put a water fountain in Waterworks Park.

P.S.: We really enjoy the city’s Recreation Adventure Program.

Write, send a letter about TV trouble

Regarding my letter, “Having trouble with your TV?” which appeared in the July 9 edition. To date, I have received close to 15 phone responses, and they are still coming.

Now I make a simple request to those who have phoned me and those who have yet to. Write me a detailed letter, no e-mail, I have no computer, describing your problems. Mail to Ken Crockett, P.O. Box 455, Kokomo, IN 46903.

I plan to photocopy each letter, allow them to accumulate until I have a quantity of them, then send “letter packs” to all appropriate agencies.

Remember, there is strength in numbers.

Did we learn nothing on Sept. 11, 2001?

I had to look twice at what took place in Chicago July 19. What was this event that got my attention? This event took place at the Conrad Hilton Hotel.

How comforting to know that a recruitment drive was held by a terrorist at the Conrad Hilton for the purpose of the destruction of the United States of America. Didn’t we learn anything from 9/11?

Three thousand people went to their deaths on that day. Never let it be said that we aren’t helpful. We even trained the pilots that hit the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York.

Now we throw out the welcome mats for a group that is out to destroy America! You’ve got to be kidding me.
