Publish reports on ACORN mess
We are faithful subscribers and readers of the Tribune the six months we are in town. We are very, very, very distressed that the past few days there has been absolutely no mention in your paper of the ACORN mess.
Do you not know how bad this is and that it’s another reason to worry that our country, the United States of America, is being sold down the river by Washington bureaucrats? We watch Fox every day so we know what’s going on.
But why don’t you share this information with readers who don’t watch Fox or any other news channel and keep them alert to this horrible situation?

Stop complaining and help someone
This is in response to the Sept. 9 letter entitled, “Not everyone is an Obama fan.” The letter was also a response to another letter that stated that Obama’s rating has never been more than 80 percent.
The “Not a fan” letter writer seemed to believe that the other writer had said that Obama’s rating was 80 percent. Maybe before writing in to the paper, you should read the letter a second time.
And so what if everyone doesn’t support Obama? You obviously don’t support him. That’s OK. But stop trying to force your beliefs on everyone else. That’s so annoying!
Even more irritating is the fact that the entire letter talks about how bad a job the president is doing. He has been in office 25 weeks! Rome wasn’t built in a day! There are many problems that need to be fixed. Do you expect them to all be wished away overnight?
When you have a big job to accomplish, you want to make sure it’s done right, and that takes time. Did you ever consider that maybe the people looking for a handout need it? That maybe they lost their job and cannot find another?
It seems extremely insensitive to me to judge these people without even knowing their situations. Maybe you should read less articles trash-talking Obama and go help someone. Maybe you’ll learn something about hard work instead of whining about it in the paper.

Carmakers must share information
The National Independent Automobile Dealers Association strongly supports the Motor Vehicle Owners’ Right to Repair Act (HR 2057) and urges Congress to pass the legislation on behalf of its over 20,000 members.
As a national trade association representing independent automobile dealers, we share the belief that specialized equipment, information and materials should be available to all repair facilities who wish to pursue service and repair opportunities, and should not be restricted to just those who are affiliated with a manufacturer. Right to Repair ensures that our members’ customers can have their vehicles serviced at the repair shop of their choice.
Because vehicles are increasingly monitored or controlled by computers, ready access to complete and accurate information, tools and software from the car companies is necessary to keep vehicles in safe working condition. The Right to Repair Act protects the motoring public by making it illegal for manufacturers to withhold information necessary to diagnose, service or repair vehicles.
We encourage our members and all motorists to visit www.righttorepair.org and send a letter to each of their congressional representatives, urging them to support the Right to Repair Act.

Enemies of Christ will distort Bible
In my opinion, the atheists and secular humanists who scorn Christians are acting as Satan did in Matthew 4:1-11.
Satan quoted the Bible to Jesus, but Jesus refused all the power Satan offered him.
Christians will do well to recognize that the enemies of Christianity will gladly twist the meaning of the Bible to their advantage. They will do and say anything to get their agenda passed and add to their power.
Jesus didn’t come to run the Roman government. He came to begin a spiritual kingdom in order to prepare people for his coming kingdom on earth. His kingdom will be the final superpower.
