Stop unfounded charges of racism

It used to be said that patriotism was the last refuge of a scoundrel. When you couldn’t win a debate on the merits of your position, your only recourse was to attack the patriotism of the individual winning the argument, thus destroying his character and undermining the credibility of his position. Today, an attack on one’s patriotism is being replaced with the accusation of racism.

There are many who want to label conservatives as racists, because we are standing in opposition to our current leaders in Washington, D.C. In doing so, they do not have to debate the merits of our position. This is a tragedy!

We want every American to have the opportunity to live out the American dream. We want everyone to have access to the best education, health care, jobs, homes and whatever else an individual desires.

However, we have a fundamental disagreement with the current leaders of our federal government. We believe the ingenuity of the people is better equipped to address the issues that we face. An overreaching federal bureaucracy is only going to make matters worse, and conservatives have all of history on our side.

History has proven over and over again that centralized planning doesn’t work on a large scale. Large bureaucracies are inefficient and prone to corruption. Local communities are better equipped to meet the needs of their citizens. We Care is a great example in our own community.

Let’s stop the unfounded charges of racism and continue the dialogue on how to best address the issues that face our nation. Let’s get back to the principle of a limited federal government that served this nation so well.

Big government is the crisis we face

It should be obvious by now that the more the government controls, the more taxes it has to levy on its citizens. Just remember the government has no money nor does it produce anything to pay for its overreaching power and subsidized programs.

Speaking of overreaching power, our president has done nothing but overreach! He is so busy meddling in our private lives, federalizing private industry and campaigning for his socialist agenda that he doesn’t have time to be concerned about his constitutional duties. That is why he has appointed “czars” to oversee and control all federal bureaucracies. And as you know appointees are not elected by the people nor do they have the best interest of the people in their plans, because the only one they are accountable to is the one who appointed them and granted them that power.

If you enjoy the freedoms and liberties that you still have, you’d better wake up because they are slowly and subtly being taken away in the guise of abating a crisis! Talk about a crisis, the only crisis we face is the government taking over every aspect of our lives and burying us in debt. The principal objective being to redistribute wealth and force unending government dependence. All the hope and change promised in this last election was nothing but a political illusion and a false premise of a socialist utopia! Think about it!
