Letters to the editor - Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008

Beloved Obama can’t change U.S.

As we approach a crucial point in our history, ask yourself several questions:

1) Who really will bring change? Change is difficult and is usually met with resistance.

The world loves Obama. His party loves him. The media love him. How can you be the harbinger of change if everyone loves you? You can’t.

John McCain has often been outside his party and at odds with its leaders. Yes, McCain has voted with Bush, but Obama has voted with the Democrats more often. How many times has Barack voted against the Democrats? Not many when your rate is 98 percent.

2) Who has the most to hide? Have you heard of Bill Ayers? When was the last time a presidential candidate had a self-avowed, unabashedly proud terrorist who bombed at least three federal facilities including the Pentagon as a friend?

Oh, Barack will say he is barely an acquaintance but do the research (the media won’t) and you will see them on at least two boards together, co-chairs of at least one committee, which by the way gave over $150,000 to the president of the Communist Party in America. You will also see Ayers and his terrorist wife Bernadette Dohrn hosted one of the first fundraisers in Barack’s political career.

3) If every vote is important why is Barack tied to an organization that is under investigation in 12 states for voter fraud?

ACORN, the activist organization Obama worked for as a community organizer, has been repeatedly under federal investigations and even indictments for wide-scale fraud, yet once again the media refuses to give this any scrutiny. I guess it is more important to see if Sarah Palin ever had a library book late.

Go ahead and sit back. Believe the slick ads Obama spends tens of millions on, yet he can’t even send his half-brother $50 to live in a better hut in Africa.

Barack will bring change all right. More taxes, more government. He will bungle things faster than Jimmy Carter did and the consequences will be dire. You want change? John McCain is the man and Sarah Palin is the woman. Maybe next time I can discuss Joe Biden and his foot-in-mouth disease. Great choice, Barack.
