‘When people pray, then God responds’
We’re writing to you and hope that everyone who has been praying for our son, David Mote of Kokomo, will see this. There were so many people from a lot of churches whom we do not know how to thank. We wanted to send this letter and thank everyone who has been praying for him and give you an update about what has happened to him.
This is a wonderful time of the year to have such wonderful news, being the Christmas season. The Mote family wants to thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts for your prayers, but most of all we thank the Lord Jesus for his mercy and healing hand. Miracles still happen, and God still watches over us and takes care of us, even if some people in this world are trying to take him out of our lives.
When people pray earnestly, then God responds. He says in the Bible, “Ye receive not because ye ask not.” Please continue praying for him and the rest of our family also, and thank all of you for caring and taking the time to pray for our son, David.
He was operated on Oct. 19. The doctors found a mass on his liver that they thought was going to be a short operation. But after eight hours, they found a tumor on his small intestine by his liver. They told us if it had burst, it would have killed him. They removed it, plus about a foot of his small intestine. But they did not remove the mass on his liver because they said he had a very rare form of cancer that could not be treated. They left us to believe that he could die any time. They wanted to make sure it was the kind of rare cancer they thought it was and sent it to California to confirm it. They called it “carcinoid,” and they had only seen this kind about three or four times.
We called many people and people from many cities and states and had a prayer circle going. He was anointed Oct. 23. And David believed he was healed by the Lord that day. His birthday was Oct. 24. And the next day, the 25th, he had more tests taken. He was told his cancer was now dormant. He came home, and the next week he went to the Cancer Treatment Center in Illinois. They took all kinds of tests, and they told him that they could find NO cancer in his body anywhere and sent him home. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
He is looking good and doing fine. We want to keep praising God for all his mercy and for healing David completely.
We pray that all of you will have a happy and healthy life. May God bless you all.
