So the Board of Zoning Appeals turns down your request for gas pumps on a project the neighborhood doesn’t want in the first place? No problem! With enough deal-making and arm-twisting, we’ll just get it rezoned – again – to suit our needs.
We know better than you that Kokomo needs another store to buy cigarettes and Slurpees – and gas – at 3 a.m.
And with the new zoning, just think of what else we can put in the neighborhood. Maybe we can buy more property and do away with the whole residential thing altogether.
And they wonder why people are cynical and distrustful of the government, politicians and big business.
Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. I am the great and powerful Oz.
