Why am I going through all this? Because God has said plainly in his word that homosexuality is a sin.
So does that mean that as a Christian I am supposed to hate homosexuals? Absolutely not. We are to love all people as ourselves and love God first. God will judge in his time.
So does this mean that because a man and another man love each other and want to be married and treated the same way as heterosexual, married people, we should feel sorry for them in some way and endorse their lifestyle and desires for marriage? Absolutely not. This is turning upside down the very institution that God himself created.
I have a longtime friend who has chosen the homosexual life, my wife’s cousin is a practicing homosexual, my uncle who practiced homosexuality died of AIDS around 1989. Did I ever hate any of them?
No way. I do, however, hate their sin with a passion. Because I passionately love a God who can forgive anyone who turns from sin and follows him.
I challenge you to ask those who want to see the truth of what marriage really is and was designed to be and see what they say about gay marriage.
GOP has supported the president, right?
I am shocked the president of the United States would threaten to “go it alone” in his efforts to get this nation moving forward.
Congress has bent over backwards on countless occasions to support the president in matters such as immigration, establishing a workable budget, debt ceiling issues, taxation and health care, just to name a few. You name it, and the Republicans have been there to support our president.
I guess I just don’t understand Washington politics today.
