It’s bad policy to end Ind. energy program
If our elected officials truly care about job creation and protecting ratepayers, they didn’t show it [Monday].
In just its first year, Energizing Indiana saved enough energy to power 64,000 homes for a year and directly supported 400 Hoosier jobs. Ending our state’s successful energy efficiency program will cost our state hundreds of Hoosier jobs and raise electricity rates for families, schools, churches, and many more throughout Indiana.
It is now up to Gov. Pence to protect Hoosier ratepayers and jobs by vetoing this misguided bill.
‘How long will God’s grace sustain us?’
So let’s consider the plight of America this morning.
We slaughter 3,000 to 4,000 of the most innocent among us every day. The worst holocaust known to man — much worse than the atrocities of Nazi Germany.
If there were a nation capable of attacking us for this grave injustice to humanity, it would be in the right standing with our creator, God, and we would be the enemy.
We have to ask the question, how long will God’s amazing grace sustain us? Who will be our Dietrich Bonhoeffer, William Wilberforce or William Lloyd Garrison? I don’t know. Think about it.

Don’t miss March 31 ACA sign-up deadline
Being sick is undeniably stressful, and being sick without health coverage is even more so. For the 13 percent of Hoosiers ages 50 to 64 — about 172,000 people — who were uninsured in 2011, I have a message for you: Please don’t miss the March 31 deadline to buy coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace.
Why now? Not only will having health insurance help your peace of mind, you won’t have another opportunity to get covered until Nov. 15. Plus, you’ll avoid a financial penalty. But, if you already have coverage through Medicare or Medicaid, a military program or your employer, you don’t need to do anything.
