I for one don’t want to put the almighty dollar bill in front of the health and safety of any county resident! I ask each of you to please ask yourself how you would feel if a member of your family was adversely affected because you did not get involved. Folks, if this goes forward, you have committed for at least 30 years and up to 50 years.
We are trying to raise signatures to pressure our leaders to understand they need to think of us first, not their pockets and private interest! Please contact your commissioners and express your concerns. You can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
There’s controversy, so let’s fix the cause
Leaders of Tipton County: There is fallout from E.ON’s first phase of the Wildcat Wind Farm. What’s done is not done! It’s unacceptable!
These people have been and are suffering loss, just like your flood victims and farmers’ crops in the rainy season. Nature caused these problems, but you created the wind farm mess. Maybe unintentionally, but it’s there.
There are major issues of property and health, but simple pleasures of life that make up the personal well-being have been stripped away — the things each of us take for granted and want at the end of the day. These are not things people driving by or sitting under a turbine for a short time will find. One must walk in their shoes, daily living among them day and night.
No TV to relax by in the evening. No cellphone or Internet that connects you to your family or friends, or emergency personnel in emergencies. Continued dimming lights. The right to sit on the patio to enjoy nature and peace and quiet, maybe cookouts with family and friends.
