Miss Circus City to be crowned

PERU — The 50th anniversary of the Miss Circus City Scholarship Pageant is Sunday in the American Trust Circus Center.
There are 11 contestants vying for the title and scholarships. Each one also has an escort, who could win a $400 scholarship.
There will be a reception immediately following the pageant. Doors open at 3:15 p.m. Tickets are $3. There will also be raffle items, a silent auction, door prizes and a People’s Choice competition.
Contestants and escorts are:
• Tarrin Cooper, daughter of Tammy Cooper, escorted by Adam Betzner;
• Samantha Crone, daughter of Thomas and Denise Crone, escorted by Scott Wouster;
• Ashley Black, daughter of Christy Householder, escorted by Blake Douglas, son of Ron and Jan Douglas;
• Toma Higginbotham, daughter of Tom and Tonja Higginbotham, escorted by Josh Bowsher, son of Tom and Debbie Bowsher;
• Sara Kay, daughter of Michael and Terri Kay, escorted by Zac Leffel, son of Phillip and Tawna Leffel;
• Brittany Gustin, daughter of Ben Gustin and Debbie Finicle, escorted by Mason Zimmer, son of Keith and Donna Zimmer;
• Alicia Whitaker, daughter of Kevin Whitaker, escorted by Coty McPhearson, son of Keith and Tia Shepherd;
• Claire Redmon, daughter of Sam and Christi Redmon, escorted by Daniel Mulloy, son of tom and Susan Mulloy;
• Kylee Cress, daughter of Michelle Spohn, escorted by Cody Krauskopf, son of Kurt and Rise Krauskopf;
• Corinne Cutler, daughter of Parkhurst and Connie Cutler, escorted by Justin Friend, son of Rick and Peggy Hendrix; and
• Chelcie Carpenter, daughter of Angel and Doug Carpenter, escorted by Cameron Cooper, son of Tammy Cooper.
