Precautionary boil advisory lifted

Indiana American Water’s Kokomo District has lifted its precautionary boil water advisory. The advisory was put in place Monday afternoon following a 12-inch water main break near the corner of Union and Superior streets.

Customers who live, have offices or businesses in the area bounded by Market Street on the east, Washington Street on the west, Walnut Street on the north and the Wildcat Creek on the south, were affected by the boil advisory.

This area includes Kokomo City Hall and the Howard County Courthouse.

Precautionary boil orders usually last between 24 and 36 hours.

Customers can call the Indiana American Water Customer Service Center at (800) 492-8373 for further information.
