A three-vehicle crash on Ind. 19 Friday afternoon took the life of 31-year-old man and injured two others.
Joshua Kent Ironmonger, Tipton, died at the scene of the 2:15 p.m. crash at Ind. 19 about 300 feet south of Dover Avenue, Tipton police reported.
Ironmonger was driving south on Ind. 19 in a 1985 Chevrolet Cavalier about 2:15 p.m. when witnesses said he crossed the center line and struck at 2001 Ford pickup truck, driven by George E. Brown, 70, Tipton.
After striking the truck, Ironmonger’s car continued southbound and hit a 1998 Ford Ranger head-on. The force of both collisions caused the two trucks to roll over. Brown’s truck rolled once and broke the rear axle in half.
Brown was treated and released from Tipton Hospital.
Angela G. Rose, 41, Tipton, the driver of the Ford Ranger, was trapped in her truck and had to be cut from the wreckage. She suffered injuries to her lower legs and is being treated at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville.
All three drivers were wearing seat belts.
