Police arrest alleged child molester

From staff reports

LOGANSPORT — State police arrested a Logansport man Friday on six counts of child molest alleging he had sex with an 8-year-old girl.

The suspect, Timothy Laten Robinson, 32, turned himself in at the Cass County jail on a warrant for six counts of child molesting, three A felonies and three B felonies.

The arrest stemmed from a three-month investigation by Indiana State Police Detective Jason Page.

Police launched the investigation after receiving information from the Cass County Division of Child Services that an 8-year-old girl had possibly been molested. Page’s investigation revealed that Robinson had allegedly molested the girl on several occasions from mid-2007 to early 2008.

Robinson, also known as “Two Dollar Tim,” is being held on a cash bond of $10,000 or surety bond of $50,000.

An A felony conviction carries anywhere between 20 to 50 years in prison. A B felony carries from eight to 20 years in prison.
