From staff reports

Kokomo police are investigating an early Friday stabbing of a 33-year-old man on the city’s northwest side.

Police were called to St. Joseph Hospital about 3:40 a.m. to a report of a man who came to the hospital with two stab wounds in his upper chest.

The victim, Michael Williams, 33, told police he was walking home from Village Pantry, 904 W. Jefferson St., and was stabbed in the parking lot. After being stabbed, Williams got a ride from a friend to the hospital.

According to police, Williams was then transported by ambulance to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis for further treatment.

No arrests had been made in the case as of Friday evening.

Anyone with information about this stabbing should contact Capt. Brian Thompson at (765) 456-7252, or the Kokomo Police Hotline at (765) 456-7017, or you may qualify for a cash reward by calling Central Indiana Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
