Police investigate stabbing

Kokomo police are investigating an early Friday stabbing of a 33-year-old man on the city’s northwest side.
Police were called to St. Joseph Hospital about 3:40 a.m. to a report of a man who came to the hospital with two stab wounds in his upper chest.
The victim, Michael Williams, 33, told police he was walking home from Village Pantry, 904 W. Jefferson St., and was stabbed in the parking lot. After being stabbed, Williams got a ride from a friend to the hospital.
According to police, Williams was then transported by ambulance to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis for further treatment.
No arrests had been made in the case as of Friday evening.
