Murder mystery planned at Seiberling Mansion
An evening of mystery is currently being planned at the Seiberling Mansion.
Be a witness, a suspect or a sleuth.
Watch events unfold with all of the diabolical mystery of an Arthur Conan Doyle novel. Play your role as sedately or outrageously as you wish. All guests will get to hunt for clues, question suspects and piece together the puzzle of “Murder at the Mansion.”
The setting is a 1930s gangster theme at the opening night celebration of the Velvet Room speakeasy. The Velvet Room, owned by Dom Marconi, is a swank joint frequented by gangsters in striped suits and gun molls in boas.
Leave your weapons outside because Bugsy, the Dom’s bodyguard, will be frisking guests at the door. And don’t forget the secret password to admit you into the mansion.
How to play
Pick a major role or a minor role from a list of 60 characters, Tuesday through Friday, Oct. to 10, at the Seiberling Mansion, 1200 W. Sycamore St. One week later you will receive a confidential packet of information about your character, including questions, clues and appropriate dress for the evening.
The event includes dessert and hors d’oeuvres and a beer and wine cash bar. The cost is $50 per person or $90 a couple, and the deadline to register is Friday, Oct. 10.
Call (765) 452-4314 for more information.
Participants must be at least 21 years old to attend.
