Police look for missing teen

By MIKE FLETCHER
Tribune staff writer

Kokomo police are looking for a missing teenager who reportedly said she may do harm to herself.

Officers began looking for 16-year-old Shawnda RaeAnn Adcock Monday after her grandmother reported her missing.

Adcock had been missing since Saturday afternoon. The grandmother also provided officers with a note from Adcock indicating that she may do harm to herself.

Shawnda stands 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighs about 105 pounds and has dark brown eyes and curly brown hair. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a hooded sweatshirt, and white tennis shoes.

Investigators continue to interview friends and relatives in hopes of locating Shawnda.

Anyone having information as to the whereabouts of Shawnda Adcock is asked to contact Maj. Don Whitehead at (765) 456-7248, or the Kokomo Police Hotline at (765) 456-7017.
