State police made a second arrest in the Bunker Hill fatal shooting and are expecting to file additional charges in the case.
ISP Detective Mike Tarrh said investigators arrested Tabitha Bradley, 39, one of four people in the room when Robert Vandergriff Jr. was fatally shot.
Bradley faces three counts of false informing and one count of perjury.
Tarrh said the charges accuse Bradley of changing her story to police multiple times.
ISP and Miami County sheriff deputies found Vandergriff, 18, Kokomo, dead Sept. 19 from a gunshot wound to the chest inside a house at 2625 W. 1050 South.
When officers searched the residence, they found more than a dozen rifles, shotguns and handguns of numerous caliber as well as ammunition and holsters inside the home. The weapons are believed to be stolen from a northern Howard County residence.
Vandergriff, Bradley, Daniel Huckelby and a fourth person were allegedly using illegal narcotics in a bedroom of the house when the shooting occurred.
Huckelby and Vandergriff allegedly were handling the handgun, which discharged a bullet into Vandergriff’s chest. Huckelby fled the scene before police arrived and turned himself into police Monday.
Huckelby is being detained in the Miami County Jail for a probation violation and other charges in Cass County unrelated to the shooting.
Tarrh said charges are forthcoming against Huckelby pertaining to the shooting.
