'Extreme Makeover' play-by-play

Wednesday, Oct. 21

8:45 a.m.: A police-escorted caravan of vehicles pulls out of Kokomo's Hampton Inn parking lot onto U.S. 31. They head north.

9:16 a.m.: The caravan is on Ind. 18, crossing 200 West in Miami County.

9:28 a.m.: Staging point has been reached; convoy has stopped.

9:38 a.m.: Extreme Makeover convoy seems to be circling Miami County roads. Now traveling west on 1100 South.

10:13 a.m.: Extreme Makeover caravan has stopped. Miami County Road 1075 South is blocked off from 100 West to 100 East. Crowd gathering.

10:20 a.m.: Hallmark Homes applied for a building permit this morning at 11040 S. 100 West, Bunker Hill, says Miami Co. Planning Dept.

10:26 a.m. The show's bus has been parked on 100 West on the westside of the road.

10:28 a.m.: American Cancer Society is reporting that the Extreme Makeover recipient is the Cowan-Brown family of Bunker Hill.

10:45 a.m.: Producers officially release name of recipient family.

11:09 a.m.: Security has removed the first barricade. We're one step closer to the show area.

11:35 a.m.: Convoy of food trucks has arrived at the site. No word yet on planned press conference.

12:11 p.m.: Crowd size at the barricade is growing. Extreme Homeowner is expecting a crowd of 30,000 during the week build.

12:15 a.m.: Kori Brown, the recipient family's daughter, has raised $35,000 for cancer research. Who is Kori Brown?

12:51 p.m.: Press has been allowed into media area. Info should be available soon.

1:35 p.m.: Family thanks everyone involved in the project at a press conference. Read more about the press conference here.

1:40 p.m.: Brave Heart March scheduled for 2 p.m., when crews and volunteers move in.

1:55 p.m.: Map made available to the house. See the map here.

2 p.m.: Brave Heart March pushed back to 3 p.m. It's lunch time.

3:04 p.m.: They're gearing up for the march.

3:44 p.m.: They're still gearing up for the march. We're being told the march may have to be done multiple times to get the right shot. This could take a while.

4:23 p.m.: The Brave Heart March has been completed.
