Memorial Day activities

Kokomo

• 11 a.m., the American Legion Post 6, and VFW Military Rites Team will hold a ceremony at Crown Point Cemetery.

• 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Midnight Riders Memorial Day Ride, leaves VFW Post 1152, 920 N. Washington St., escort to Darrough Chapel Park on South Goyer Road. The rides ends at Golden Corral on U.S. 31 South for dinner.

• 2 p.m. Darrough Chapel Veterans Memorial Day Service with Men of Note, a proclamation from the mayor and displaying the miniature statues on the monument

Cass County

• 1:30 p.m. Memorial Day service at Walton I.O.O.F. Cemetery put on by the Walton American Legion Post 418

• 10 a.m. Memorial Day parade at the Logansport City Building with the American Legion Riders

Miami County

• Memorial Day at Grissom Air Museum, doors open at 9 a.m. with 50 percent off admission fee. First 100 military guests receive a small flag and first 100 non-military guests receive a free Grissom Poster. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Gary the “Hot Dog Man.”
