Kokomo police continued putting pressure on local strip clubs by arresting three more dancers on prostitution charges Thursday.
KPD’s Drug Task Force began the ongoing investigation after getting complaints of illegal activity taking place in Kokomo’s five strip clubs.
Chief Rob Baker said police are investigating illegal activity in all the clubs.
Police served three more warrants Thursday evening and arrested Christian M. Hurst, 21, Amy Turbeville, 25, and Shayla M. Thomas, 18.
Police said Hurst works as a dancer at Little Daddy’s Show Club, 1527 S. Home Ave., while Turbeville and Thomas are dancers at Big Daddy’s Show Club, 1503 N. Davis Road.
All three were arrested on warrants out of Howard Superior Court 3. Along with one count of prostitution, Hurst was charged with one count of indecent exposure and two warrants for petition to revoke a suspended sentence.
Turbeville and Thomas each face one count of prostitution.
Chief Baker said the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.
On Wednesday, officers arrested four women - two dancers from Little Daddy’s and two from Big Daddy’s - on warrants after an undercover informant alleged he was offered sexual favors for cash by the dancers in April.
