PENCE CLOSES ALL STATE OFFICES MONDAY: Essential personnel will report to work to ensure public safety and critical services are available.
"We want to ensure that our employees are safe and that Hoosiers have access to critical public services," the governor said. "I am limiting the number of employees who must report to work on Monday to help keep people off the roads and out of the extreme cold, even while we make sure that Hoosiers have access to necessary government services."
BALL STATE CANCELS CLASSES: Here's an email from Ball State University, Muncie:
"There will be no classes at Ball State University or the Indiana Academy on Monday, January 6. Burris Laboratory School will be closed on Monday, January 6.
"Ball State University will be closed from 11:30 p.m. Sunday, January 5 until 7 a.m. Tuesday, January 7. All university offices will be closed during this period."

TIPTON COUNTY ISSUES TRAVEL WARNING: As of about 12:45 p.m. Sunday, Tipton County says it could limit travel to only emergency management personnel.
