Two men police say broke into a south-side home in January and robbed the homeowner have been arrested on robbery and burglary charges.
Dion Jones, 19, Kokomo, and Sharunne Prater, 18, Lafayette, both were arrested this week on felony warrants stemming from the Jan. 14 crime.
Court documents filed in the case state that two people living at the house on Holly Lane told police two men climbed in a bedroom window with hooded sweatshirts and bandanas covering their faces while armed with handguns. A victim told police he was pistol whipped in the face and ear by one of the suspects.
Court papers state the men stole four pairs of Nike shoes, a cellphone and cash before fleeing.
The victim identified Jones and Prater has being the two that robbed him. Both are scheduled to appear in Howard Superior Court 4 Thursday for their initial hearings.
