---- — A dog inside a parked truck on North Buckeye Street caused an accident Monday afternoon after it apparently bumped the gear shift, causing the truck to roll down the street into a parked vehicle.

No injuries to the dog were reported and the truck sustained a minor scuff mark, a Kokomo Police Department accident report stated.

The report said David W. Turner parked his truck on North Buckeye Street in between Jefferson and Jackson streets at about 5:30 p.m. with his dog in the front seat. Turner said he left the car to go help pack Buddy Bags, leaving the manual transmission in gear. Turner's dachshund is believed to have bumped the gear shift, which is located on the floor, into neutral. The car then rolled down the street into a vehicle parked along the other side of the street.
