A man suffered a broken leg following a head-on collision west of Greentown Monday morning.
The driver was headed east on County Road 100 South when he lost control of his vehicle after passing another vehicle at 8 a.m. near the intersection with County Road 750 East. He collided with a vehicle traveling west.
Howard County Sheriff’s Department Capt. Jerry Asher said the driver traveling east lost control of his vehicle due to some ice on the road. The driver was cited for driving too fast for road conditions.
The driver was taken to the hospital for treatment of a broken leg. The driver traveling west also was taken to the hospital but did not suffer significant injuries.
