Instead of handing out candy and other treats Halloween night, officers of the Kokomo Police Department’s drug task force dished out felony arrest warrants Thursday.
Police served warrants on six people between 2:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Thursday, each on a Class D felony charge of possession of precursors by a methamphetamine offender, KPD arrest reports stated.
Those arrested were Bradley Clark, 42, Galveston; and Arlene L. Bowman, 50, Mitchell S. Davis, 38, Richard Guge, 26, William E. Shaffer, 50, and Michael W. Slusher, 47, all of Kokomo.
According to the law, the charge is levied on a person who has been convicted of dealing in meth, possession of anhydrous ammonia with the intent to manufacture meth, possession of two or more precursors with intent to manufacture meth or unlawful sale of a precursor in the past seven years. The Class D felony charge carries a maximum of three years in prison.
