DENVER — Deputies say a 36-year-old Peru man stole more than $10,000 worth of equipment from his employer in Denver.
Travis J. Greer was arrested Tuesday on two felony charges of theft after deputies say he stole tools, equipment, diagnostic instruments and merchandise from Raider Truck Repair, where he worked.
Deputies said Greer had been stealing the items since November.
Deputies began investigating Greer after the owner reported he believed an employee had been stealing his equipment for an extended period of time.
After searching Greer’s vehicle, deputies say they found stolen property belonging to the business owner.
Greer was incarcerated at the Miami County jail. Deputies say they located and recovered many of the stolen items and returned them to the business owner.
Miami County Sheriff Tim Miller said deputies continue to investigate the incident and more charges may be forthcoming.
