Daytime lane restrictions on northbound U.S. 31 between 169th Street (just south of Ind. 32 in Westfield) and Ind. 38 start today, and will continue through March 20, Indiana Department of Transportation officials reported.
Beginning March 20 through the end of the year, crews plan to restrict northbound US 31 to one lane between 169th Street and Ind. 38 to place new pavement in preparation for a traffic shift.
Beginning on or after April 1, crews plan to shift the lanes on southbound U.S. 31 between 169th Street and Ind. 38 to share the northbound side of U.S. 31 while crews begin constructing new southbound lanes.
Once traffic has been shifted, each direction of US 31 between 169th Street and SR 38 will be restricted to a one-lane configuration for the remainder of the year.
