---- — Kokomo police officers Saturday seized a vehicle they believe was involved in the Sept. 12 fatal hit-and-run crash.

Kokomo police officers responded to the residence at 4043 Highland Springs Dr., and while officers were conducting a separate investigation at the residence, they discovered possible evidence that pertained to the crash, according to a press release from the department early Sunday.

Thirteen-year-old Christian Reede and his 13-year-old passenger, Donte Brown, were struck at the intersection of 300 South and Highland Springs Drive Sept. 12 while riding a moped. Reede died as a result of this crash.

Crash investigators and criminal investigators served a search warrant on the residence Saturday for possible evidence. Investigators seized a grey 2006 Ford Escape believed to be the suspect vehicle involved in the crash. No arrests have been made at this time.

This case remains under investigation. If anyone has information regarding this case, they are asked to contact the Kokomo Police Department at 765-459-5101, or the Kokomo Police Department Hotline at 765-456-7017.
