Police seeking VP robber

KPD looking for February assailant

---- — Kokomo police are asking for the public’s help in solving a February Village Pantry robbery.

The crime occurred at 4:10 a.m. Feb. 19, at the Village Pantry, 904 W. Jefferson St.

The clerk told police that a white female came behind the counter of the store and pushed him to the ground. The female then took cigarettes from the store without paying and left driving a silver vehicle, KPD Maj. Brian Seldon reported.

The woman was captured on the store’s surveillance video, which police released in hopes someone will recognize the woman.

She is described as standing about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a stocky build and red hair. She was wearing blue jeans and a dark shirt. The store employee reported minor injuries and refused medical treatment.
