Tipton native and veteran Indiana State Police officer, Tony Frawley, announced he will run for Tipton County sheriff in 2014.
“It’s something I’ve wanted to do for quite some time,” Frawley said.
“The timing is right for me. It’s my opportunity to give back to this community. I have some things I think I can offer to the job. I’m looking forward to the challenge and opportunity.”
Frawley, a 25-year veteran trooper working in the criminal investigations division, was born and raised in Tipton.
Frawley began his career at ISP in 1988 and has worked in patrol in Howard and Tipton counties. In 2000, he was assigned to criminal investigations and has served on Gov. Mitch Daniels’ security detail.
During his career, Frawley has been involved with youth sports, served on the school board at Tipton Community School Corp., and is a member of Crossroads Community Church.
