---- — A Kokomo couple already in jail on neglect charges now face two sex-related offenses involving a 15-year-old boy.
Howard County sheriff’s deputies served a warrant against Sarah Dorsey, 26, Thursday at the jail on a Class B felony sexual misconduct with a minor charge and a Class D felony vicarious sexual gratification charge, sheriff department arrest records show.
Court records indicate a warrant has been issued for Ernest Long on the same charges, but had not been served on him as of Friday.
The new charges accuse Dorsey and Long of having sex with a 15-year-old male, a probable cause affidavit filed in Howard Circuit Court stated.
The affidavit further stated an anonymous caller informed Kokomo police in July that Dorsey and Long had been engaging in sexual activity with a 15-year-old boy. The caller also stated Long encouraged Dorsey to commit the acts, the document stated.
Both are being held at the jail on a $50,000 bond and are awaiting their initial hearings
The couple were charged in June with battery and child neglect after police said Dorsey failed to intervene or call police while Long beat her 4-year-old child, according to Kokomo police reports.
Dorsey has an Oct. 8 jury trial set in that case while Long is set to stand trial Oct. 1, according to court records.
