GREENTOWN — A traffic stop of a Chicago man Thursday prompted police to draw their weapons on the man and take him into custody.
Marshal Jeff Bennett said the driver, Rendell English, 47, was stopped for speeding at around 6:30 p.m. in the middle of the small town east of Kokomo. English refused to roll down his window and cooperate with Greentown police prompting officers to pull their guns and demand English get out of the car.
Bennett said English refused to give his name and continued to be disruptive. At one point, Bennett said officers managed to get English out of the vehicle and arrested him for resisting law enforcement.
As of Friday, English remained jailed on a $8,000 bail.
