Police release surveillance photos

Man wanted for armed robbery of downtown Walgreens.

---- — Kokomo police released surveillance photos of a suspect in Wednesday’s Walgreens robbery in hopes someone will recognize the man.

Store employees at the Walgreens, 107 S. Washington St., told police the man walked into the store shortly before 8 p.m. and approached the counter armed with a knife and demanded cash.

The man was described as standing 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 5 inches tall and wearing a black hooded-sweatshirt with the words Ivy Tech on the front and a gray ski mask covering his face, Maj. Brian Seldon reported.

After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled from the store on foot. Seldon said a second man was captured on store surveillance video running from the scene with the suspect.
