Miami County has reduced its travel status from a “red” or warning level to a “watch” or orange level Sunday, permitting only essential travel for county residents.
During a “watch,” travel is only recommended to and from work or in emergency situations.
In Miami County, all county roads are passable, but may be reduced to one lane in areas. County road 300 E, between State Road 218 and State Road 18 is still considered to be nearly impassable. Drivers are urged to exercise caution on this road.
Due to continued drifting snow on county roads, Tipton County remained under a travel warning into Sunday evening. The county’s status will be reevaluated today.
