Police search for hit-and-run driver

Two pedestrians struck along Center Road

---- — Kokomo police are searching for a gray Toyota passenger car, possibly with front-end damage, which may have been involved in a hit-and-run incident early Sunday morning.

Police said officers responded to the 500 block of East Center Road around 3:19 a.m. Sunday, for two pedestrians who'd been struck by a vehicle.

Thomas Bibe Jr., 31, Kokomo, and Amanda Davis, 28, were walking east on Center Road when they were struck from behind by a small passenger car, witnesses told police.

According to police, the small passenger car was seen continuing east on Center Road before turning south in to Indian Heights subdivision. The suspect vehicle was described as possibly a gray in color Toyota Solara. Police searched the subdivision and did not locate the suspect vehicle.

Bibe suffered a serious injury to his right leg due to the indicent. Davis complained of pain to her right leg, back, neck, and forehead. Both victims were transported to Community Howard Regional Health. Bibe was later airlifted to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.
