Kokomo — Kokomo police found and dismantled a methamphetamine lab Thursday at a south-side residence after receiving a complaint from the probation office.
Investigators of KPD’s Drug Task Force responded to the complaint at 1205 S. Elizabeth St., and discovered a meth lab and items used to manufacture meth, Sgt. Tonda Cockrell reported.
Police also arrested the resident, Deanna M. Jones.
Jones, 41, faces a Class B felony charge of manufacturing meth, and a Class D felony charges of illegal drug lab, possession of meth and child neglect.
The neglect charge was added since there was a juvenile living in the home, Cockrell reported.
Indiana State Police Meth Suppression Team assisted with the dismantling and processing of the illegal and potentially dangerous lab.
Child Protection Services responded to assist with the juvenile.
Anyone with additional information is asked to call Sgt. Tonda Cockrell at 765-456-7204, or the Kokomo Police Hotline at 765-456-7017.
