Man dies in apparent hunting accident

---- — BURLINGTON: Howard County sheriff's deputies are investigating the shooting death of a man in Burlington Saturday evening that appears to be a hunting accident.

Deputies were called at about 6:25 p.m. to 11361 W. 100 South to a report of a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.Sheriff Steve Rogers said the preliminary investigation indicated the shooting appears to be as a result of a hunting accident.Howard County Coroner Jay Price was called to the scene and is assisting in the investigation.The name of the deceased has not been released pending family notification.
