---- — Police say a Delphi man, his ex-wife and girlfriend molested two children, ages 4 and 7.

All three remain in the Carroll County Jail.

According to court records, Eric Bane, 29, of Delphi, was arrested Aug. 14. Co-defendants Rita Bane, 33, and Ashley Rawson, 23, also of Delphi, were arrested Aug. 17.

According to the Indianapolis Star, the Department of Family Services notified the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 12 of two children at Pulaski Hospital who allegedly had been molested.

During subsequent interviews over the next two days, investigators with family services and the sheriff’s office spoke to the children.

Both recounted details of Eric Bane molesting them on more than one occasion, the Star reported. The incidents are alleged to have occurred between Nov. 1 and Aug. 9.

Interviews with Rita Bane and Rawson provided additional details. The women reportedly told police they had witnessed the children being molested.

Rita Bane allegedly admitted to encouraging and helping one of the children to participate in a sex act with Bane.

All three entered not guilty pleas at their arraignments and are awaiting trial.

Eric Bane is charged with two Class A felony counts of child molesting and one C felony charge of child molesting, court records show.

Rita Bane and Rawson each face a Class A felony charge of aiding, inducing or causing child molesting, as well as C felony child molest and D felony child neglect.

The charges were filed Aug. 15 in Carroll Circuit Court.

The penalty for a Class A felony is up to 50 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.

Police said Child Protective Services has arranged for the children’s welfare.

The trial is scheduled for Nov. 19.
