Police looking for murder suspect

Officials say suspect shot his accomplice during armed robbery

---- — Police are looking for a Kokomo man who they say shot and killed 32-year-old Robert Patmon while they were both attempting an armed robbery early Friday. City road construction workers found Patmon’s body lying in the street at around 6:40 a.m. Friday on Longview Drive between Sycamore and Walnut streets.Police issued a felony murder warrant Saturday for Anthony Dunn, who remains at large as of 2:30 p.m. Sunday.Maj. Brian Seldon said investigators learned both Patmon and Dunn were attempting an armed robbery in the 600 block of East Mulberry Street. He said during the attempted robbery, Dunn at some point shot Patmon. Howard County Coroner Jay Price conducted an autopsy Friday that determined Patmon died from a gunshot wound to the back.Seldon said Patmon was originally from Michigan, but had recently moved to Kokomo.Police also issued a warrant for Dunn on a charge of petition to revoke bond for dealing in cocaine or narcotic drugs. Police said this case remains active for investigation.
