Kokomo police on Thursday said that murder suspect Anthony Dunn was located in Flint, Mich.
Dunn, 21, faces a charge of murder in the Aug. 30 shooting of 32-year-old Robert Patmon of Farmington Hills, Mich.
City road construction workers found Patmon’s body lying in the street on Longview Drive between Sycamore and Walnut street suffering from a gunshot to his torso.
Major Brian Seldon of the Kokomo Police Department said the Michigan State Police Fugitive Task Force District 3, arrested Dunn for the warrants in Flint, Mich., without incident at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
Dunn also was charged with a warrant for petition to revoke bond stemming from a dealing in cocaine charge.
Dunn will be extradited back to Howard County to face the charges.
Seldon said investigators learned both Patmon and Dunn were attempting an armed robbery in the 600 block of East Mulberry Street. He said during the attempted robbery, Dunn at some point shot Patmon. Seldon said Patmon was originally from Michigan, but had recently moved to Kokomo.
