4:45 p.m.: Peru's B&K Restaurant is completedly destroyed, according to reporter Carson Gerber. The Arby's restaurant has been condemned by the fire department and has been evacuated, he said.
Residents say they saw a funnel cloud, but the occurance of a tornado has not been confirmed at this time.
Original story: As many as 4,000 people are without power after a massive storm careened through Peru Wednesday afternoon. Buildings on the city's west side were damaged, some severely, according KT reporter Carson Gerber, who is on the ground.
Trucks are flipped, trees uprooted and homes and businesses were leveled. Residents report the Kroger, Aldi and BK restaurant all sustained heavy damage.
