Gunman robs teens in Foster Park lot

Police say suspect wore bandana, carried semi-automatic handgun.

Tribune staff report

— Police are looking for a man who they say robbed two teenagers Saturday night at gunpoint in Foster Park.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., police said a 19-year-old female and a 17-year-old male were parked in the west parking lot of Foster Park.

The teens reported a man armed with a semi-automatic handgun knocked on the passenger side glass and motioned for the male victim to roll down the window, according to police.

As he rolled down the window, police said the suspect demanded and stole cash and other items in the car.

Police said the suspect was described as wearing a black Carhartt jacket with the hood pulled up, and a blue bandana partially covering his face.

A second male suspect was described as wearing similar clothing and standing at the rear of the victims’ vehicle. The suspects were last seen running north out of the park. The victims did not report any injuries.

Police said the case remains under investigation.
