PERU — Peru police are investigating a Sunday morning stabbing that left a 19-year-old Peru man dead and two others injured.
Officers responded to 57 E. 6th Street, Peru, at 2:24 a.m. Sunday on a report of people being stabbed, said Peru Police Chief Jonie Kennedy.
Three people were transported from the residence to Dukes Memorial Hospital with stab wounds.
Brayton Kelsor, 19, was died at the hospital from his injuries.
Dominick J. Tyler, 19, Bunker Hill, was treated for his injuries and arrested at the hospital for minor in consumption of alcohol and reportedly had a blood alcohol level of .09 percent.
A third person, whose name has not been released, was airlifted to Fort Wayne. No information was available on that person’s status.
Kennedy said no more information would be available on the incident until police and the coroner complete their investigation.
The Indiana State Police, Miami County Prosecutor’s Office, Miami County Coroner, Miami County EMS and Miami County EMA assisted at the scene.
