3 new moms get ready for 8 weeks of slimming down, toning up

Starting a regimen at the gym and losing weight is never easy.
You’re sore. You’re tired. You’re cranky.
Add a new baby into the mix — you’re tired, you’re cranky, you’re hormonal — and it’s enough to send anyone running for Ben and/or Jerry.
But not our moms.
Rebecca Hampton, Jennie Rhees and Charity Rossiter, the lovely ladies of the Kokomo Tribune and Anytime Fitness’ Mommy Makeover, are looking to ditch the baby weight and pick up buff new bodies along the way in an eight-week spotlight on fitness.
The moms will each meet with Anytime Fitness personal trainers three times a week for resistance training. In addition, they will do cardiovascular exercise on their own and follow a custom nutrition plan designed by Anytime’s Rob Land.
And we’ll get to follow right along with them.
Each week, the Tribune will update you on the ladies’ progress, including how many pounds they have lost and what changes are going on throughout their lives because of the program. We’ll also give you tips and information for you to try, training techniques and much more.
