Michael ‘Mick’ Huffer

July 9, 1962 - May 14, 2008

Michael “Mick” Huffer, 45, Hillisburg, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at his home

He was born July 9, 1962, to Jamie and Rebecca (White) Huffer. He married Sherrill (Carter), and she survives.

He had worked at Exide Factory for 18 years and now had worked at Lake Erie as a bolt maker. He graduated from Clinton Central High School. He was a member of the Frankfort Moose where he was on bowling teams.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting and artifact hunting. Everybody loved Mick and he helped everybody that he could.

He is survived by his father, Jamie Huffer, Denver, Colo.; wife, Sherrill Huffer, Hillisburg; son, Mark Huffer, Hillisburg; daughter, Rebekah Huffer, Hillisburg; brother, Scott Huffer, Denver, Colo.; two sisters, Teresa Tidd and husband Richard, Frankfort; and Melanie Huffer, Denver, Colo. Also surviving are his grandparents, Robert and Pilda Huffer, Hillisburg and good friends, Mark Hedry and wife Robin, Frankfort.

He was preceded in death by his mother and brother, Jerry White.

Services are 3 p.m. Sunday at Stout & Son Funeral home 200 E. Main St., Russiaville. His family will officiate and have open time to tell memories about Mick. Burial will follow in the Kempton Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
